Control over Popups per device

Hello,

I have a question regarding popups in mobile version.

Is it possible to deactivate popups in mobile version after one has designed desktop version 960px and 1200px with popups, so that only the main image without popup remains in the mobile version?

Or do I have completely redesign that page without popups for mobile?

Example:

Please use mobile version for this question.

Thank you very much.

Yes this is doable @mynona, but firstly I would recommend you look into changing your layout on mobile from 4 images a-breast to one or at the most 2 images a-breast. Your images on mobile are far too small for a User to make things out.

To disable the Popup(s) you have created on desktop on your mobile device, you would click on the Popup in question and then in the right hand column select Arrange / untick Show On This Device. This will stop showing the Popup on mobile.

@FlaminFig Thank you as always for your good advice. I’m grateful.

Unfortunately I can’t unclick the Popup in the Arrange column. It is greyed out/deactivated. (see screenshot). “Close” button and text frame within the popup can be deactivated by unclicking, but not the Popup itself. Perhaps I have overlooked something?

From 2 years ago, my post:

Hi there.

Popups are “global” and can not be set per device.
As a result, the automatic opening of the popup is inappropriate, when you want to show it per device.

You should use a button or icon and open the popup with it. And then show or hide this button depending on the device.

Hello Mr. F.

Thank you so much for your kindness for posting from 2 years again. I will create a transparent button for the Popup.

Btw, I didn’t activate “Open Automatically” if that’s what you meant by " the automatic opening of the popup".

Henrieke

You can hide the elements inside Popup.

I wish we can have control over Popups per device.

@selcuk Thank you for your response. Misunderstanding, maybe?

I wanted to hide the whole Popup. Arranged all anew. Used buttons for the Popups. Could hide them on mobile.

A lot of more work. But I love to work!

Although not all of Popup is not hidden, I wanted to say that the contents can be hidden.
Although the contents do not appear, popup opens and needs to be closed.
It is a more accurate method because popup will never be opened with your method.

@selcuk

I did as Mr_Fozzie said in his former post. His suggestion works very well. As I said, I use transparent buttons to connect the Popups.

On Desktop version the Popups open smoothly and on mobile version they could be deactivated which was my intention.
