This has been addressed years ago but without a solution. I am using GoDaddy hosting with Microsoft365 through go daddy. It appears that my submit form goes through (thank you pop up appears) but I don’t receive an email in my inbox. I have spend hours trying all kinds of setting and researching without a solution. Possibly just a user error. Has anyone made it work? Here is the screenshot of my settings : Any help or suggestions are appreciated. FYI the mail-tester, mentioned in previous posts didn’t work at all.
Hi @Kat, and welcome onboard! ![]()
I see you have noreply@... as the From Email Address. Have you tried changing this to one of your actual email address(es) to see if that works?
Hi @FlaminFig and thank you for the reply. I have tried both of my actual domain based emails (both are
microsoft 365) for “from” and “To” and as for STMP settings as well as any other combination (STMP authentication is turned on). As expected, GoDaddy says nothing wrong on their end.
I have the submit form page as .php?! is there any other basic adjustments I have to make or do I have to upload that in a certain folder? And just throwing it out, would uploading the website through GoDaddy’s FTP Manager change anything? I also read about the STMP replay option, which I tried and doesn’t work either. I feel like I could be missing something basic…
Ok…
Have you also checked your email account via GoDaddy… Maybe via a cPanel? Check your email deliverability to see all three settings are correct and functioning. The should have green ticks.
If still no luck, it might be best to contact @duncan on feedback@sitely.app
Thank you. I can’t find email deliverability in my cpanel. Send and receive from and to both emails works but not from my website. I appreciate your input and will reach out to Duncan. ![]()
If anyone has the same issue:
This might not be phrased very techy but I got it to work (used a TEST page). I have 2 Microsoft365 email accounts through GoDaddy. They did have to adjust the DNS records. They changed SPF and added DMARC and DKIM. SMTP auth stays off! Email routing in CPanel is set to remote mail exchanger.
- UPDATE : FROM Email Address: noreply@yourdomain.com works too. (From Email Address - needs to be your cpanel authorized email (your actual domain based email address like info@yourdomainname.com your name@yourdomainname.com)
To Email Address - the domain based email you want it to go to whatever@yourdomain.com
Not sure if it mattered since I tried a gazillion setting but jic, make sure you delete everything from previous STMP input and that the port will show 0.
You did great! ![]()
The likes of Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, etc… are now very strict and if you haven’t got your SPF, DMARC & DKIM working correctly they do an auto rejection.
