I believe I have found a bug when using the search bar…or maybe it is just not setup correctly on my end. The issue I am having is I have a blog that is password protected and when I do a search on my website using the search bar (in the menu) it pulls results from my blog that is password protected. The blog will go live in January so it is not a huge deal for my site, but if I build a site for a client or do what something on my site password protected then I would like to know that the search is not going to show results from the protected pages. Has anyone else ran into this issue? I will provide my site below.
Also, here are some things that “could” be causing it. I’m curious to know what you all think.
- I have a subdomain where I test the website edits I am doing after I use preview in Sitely. I’d like to test them in real time so that I know they are working on all devices before going live on the main domain.
- Maybe cached data?
