Accessibility WCAG for next year June

Hi, in June next year we have to make sure new developed sites follow WCAG compatibility, at least the ones for larger entities or Websites for Gouvernments.

Is there an overview or guide about how to make sitely sites following WCAG as much as possible (e.g aria labels and such)?

I am still getting acquainted with all that but I think for us who create websites for clients, this might be important.

Thank you!

Hi @Fuellemann,

I think you are referring to EU regulation, and about that the first thing to keep in mind is that so called “micro enterprises” are exempt, i.e. companies with fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover under €2 million. This eases the pressure somewhat.

WCAG guidelines vary in scope widely and Sitely’s support varies depending on what it is exactly.

In general given that Sitely’s code can’t be edited, something like aria labels, or other code-level changes, are something that we either add support for, or you can’t add them.

We have an ongoing effort to improve support over time, but aren’t quite there yet. It’s something we’ll be working on in the coming months and will update Sitely to support more.

Thank you. It is sufficient for me to know you are working on this. Thanks again!
