Any experience with HotJar (analytics tool)?

Does anyone have any experience with an analytics tool called HotJar? I am specifically wanting to know how to incorporate the tracking code into my Sitely site.

What catches my eye is their heatmap and recordings features. These features are part of their basic plan which has no cost plan and no expiration.

The integration with a site is via a tracking code and they offer instructions for a variety of platforms (e.g. Drupal, Shopify, WordPress).

With HotJar not a choice in Sitely’s Visitor Analytics within Site Settings, how can I incorporate the tracking code?

From what I can tell @DaverD you have 2 options that will work with Sitely nicely…

  1. The first one you can set up via the Sitely Settings once you have created it on the Google Analytics end.

  2. The second one you can use an Sitely Embed widget, place the given code, and Publish before having Hotjar do its confirmation check.
