Automatic image updates

I am updating images on a local preschool’s website, including adding staff photos. During this process, I often make revisions to previously exported images. However, even when I overwrite the files using the exact same filename and file path, Sitely does not automatically update them in the project—I still need to manually use the “Replace” function.

Is there a way for Sitely to automatically detect and refresh updated images when the source file is overwritten? I understand why this behavior may not apply to gallery-managed images, but is it possible for individually placed images?

@TomJr, if I’m understanding you correctly the way you are describing to update your images won’t work, as your images need to be replaced in the Sitely project file and then republished to update what you have online.

Sitely generates the website code on publish, but that generated code on the server is not connected to Sitely on your localhost.
