I have placed a layout stuck to the bottom of each Blog Post Page. The Layout includes a Previous button, a Next Button and an Embed for my Hashover comments section.
I do not want this Layout to be shown on the Blog Index Page.
Is there a setting for this or do I have to copy the Layout onto every blog page?
So from what you have posted do you have your footer section being displayed on all pages within the blog, where the blog is automatically generated within a Section?
If you have then you won’t be able to remove it from the Bog Index without removing it from all your blog posts. What you can do is setup one blog post page with your footer section, and every time you create a blog post you Duplicate the previous page…

Yes, fingers-crossed the blog widget gets a bit of further TLC in the next iteration! 
I wonder how many Sitely users are bloggers. I’ve mentioned some ideas to Duncan and he seems amenable. For example, the Next and Previous links work for a site with normal pages but I reverse them to apply to blog pages.
