Bug introduced with 6.2?

It appears a bug was introduced in version 6.2:

Project created/saved in 6.1 and opened with 6.2:
With the 1200px desktop-only layout, a Gallery item with the “Stretch > FIT” option displays images with a very high zoom level, well beyond the area’s aspect ratio constraints.

The problem is visible in both the preview and the published page.

If the original project is reopened with version 6.1, the problem disappears.

Ouch, 6.2.1… the bad feeling that each new version fixes 5 bugs and adds 10 more… A huge number of problems with object selections: visible, then invisible, appearing, disappearing, losing some of their properties (colors, image content), resizing on their own. Never reproducible, always when you least expect it. Some problems are solved by restarting Sitely, others are not….Back to 6.1 again, which is generally much more stable.

That’s pretty vague, and I can’t really say we have any evidence of what you say. Best way to get the bugs fixed is to send us reproducible test cases, or at least screenshots showing the issues. Honestly no idea what you’re even referring to…

“Pretty vague !” Indeed, Duncan, that’s exactly how I would describe Sitely’s behavior on my Mac since 6.2. :sweat_smile: We’d actually need to record the screen in real time to show the issues. I’ll try to do it if I have a bit of time. But right now, I’ve blown a fuse :face_with_spiral_eyes: … back to 6.1… breathe… relax… La vita è bella ! :heart_hands:

Here’s an example:

When I save the project, everything is fine: the “icons8-call.png” file for the button is correctly linked and displays in its frame and the right panel. I save, I quit…. Later I reopen the project and (3 times in a row) :

So the Sitely time-machine has become very temperamental and the beach ball is often there…

There are some “artefacts” that are only present in the preview (especially Safari, but not exclusively). In production, these problems resolve themselves. Therefore, it’s necessary to publish to my server each time just to be sure.

I have lots of problems like that. And when I revert to version 6.1, everything goes back to normal… I work on a MBP M1Max/Sequoia.

I ended up having a real love-hate relationship with Sitely. (Is there a psychoanalyst here? :zany_face: )
