Okay, so Duncan kindly advised me about the re-sizing issues using ‘automatic scaling’ that I had with the 3 main devices: PC wide screen, desktop/ipad screen and portrait mobile. I had to opt for ‘custom layout’ for the portrait mobile mode so that my website would be legible!
Of course, this meant that my layout exploded everywhere! A tedious exercise, but fixable.
What I can’t understand is why there is a 45,000+ pixel scroll down to the bottom of the page, where my Footer has been shunted to??
I have to drag the footer margin up to meet the rest of the graphics - which takes forEVER!!
Never mind that I have to do that to ALL the other pages that need fixing!
Hi Jim,
Use the coordinates in the “Arrange Inspector pane” to set the position of the footer. Then double-click at the end of the page and it will magically reduce the page length and snap to the end of the footer.
Thanks for your help, but I actually did that, and it moved the footer in the correct position, but left me with the remaining 45,000 pixel white space below it! It’s crazy!
ETA… on reflection.. I’m not sure that I double-clicked the margin. I’ll try that see what happens! Thanks again!
You have to double-click on the dots (8 dots) at the end of the page and it snaps back into correct position. It doesn’t work if you have anything in between those 45,000px length. Just check that also!
