Sitely wish list item: When editing a gallery, give Sitely direct access into my Photos App.
As it now works, it sends me to the Finder when I want to add a photo when “inside” a Gallery edit.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes like @selcuk mentioned, Apple’s intended “simple” integration is to use the open panel. Though the open panel is sometimes really slow, particularly the first time it’s used, and in general not a great UX. The other way is drag and drop from Photos directly into Sitely. This feature had malfunctioned a couple versions back due to Apple breaking changes, but it’s since been restored and has worked fine for a few years.
Photo browsing directly inside Sitely is not backed by any system component, it needs to be rebuilt from scratch, Apple provides some building blocks (APIs) but they’re very bare bones and need a fair amount of infrastructure built on top. While adding this does have some merit, the amount of work, and the reasonable alterantives, have made us hold off for now.
