Feature request: consistent stack order in items that appear on every page

When I rearrange the stack order in an item that appears on every page, I’d like the new order to propagate to every page. As it is, I have to go through dozens of pages and change the stack order manually.

Mmmm…
The best way you can control that is have it setup in a Layout Block that is assigned to Show On All Pages.

Unfortunately, the things I’m trying to arrange are some items on a popup. There doesn’t seem to be a way to put a popup on a layout block. At least, I can’t figure out how.

Hello :wave:t2:

The ability to place a popup inside a layout block has recently become possible, under two conditions:

  1. The popup must be a ‘normal’ popup.
  2. It must not be set to ‘always on top’ (uncheck this option).

After that, you should be able to drag the popup into a layout block or any group. If that’s not the case, make sure you have the latest version of Sparkle. And if you’re up to date but still can’t do it, it means this feature is not yet available, but be patient, it should come in the next update

Thank you very much for that tip! I wanted the popup to be “Fixed in Window,” and I was able to achieve that by the following steps:

  1. I reset the popup to “normal” and I unchecked “always on top.”

  2. Then, just like you said, I was able to move the popup into a layout block and set it to be visible on all pages. That made the stack order consistent on every page!

  3. Then I reset the popup to “Fixed in Window.” That had the effect of moving the popup out of the layout block and putting it at the top of the stack order.

  4. Then I deleted the layout block.

Now the popup performs the way I want, and the stack order is consistent on every page. Thank you, Allan!
