For a new personal site, I am looking to create a button in the aesthetic style of the Amiga’s Workbench operating system (500/2000/4000).
I managed to do state 1 of the button. But I can’t have the border dressing function to change the “light” of the edge of the button as if it sinks.
Why not be able to access the border for each button state?
Is it possible otherwise?
Am I explicit enough? It’s anecdotal and I could do it in pictures but…
Thank you.
Unfortunately, it’s not yet possible to customize the borders of a button individually for each state in Sitely. However, here are two alternative solutions you could try:
Using Images: You can create each button state as an image (normal, hover, active) and insert them directly into the button. This would give you full control over the border appearance but requires designing the visuals separately.
Overlaying Two Elements: Modify your button so it becomes fully transparent on hover. Place a box underneath with the desired border style and colors. When the button turns transparent, the border effect will appear thanks to the element below.
@Selcuk and @Allan: Thank you very much for your suggestions. And I really like alternative 2. And the Amiga (bought my first A500 in 1987!) Turned my life upside down.
