Hiding blocks and empty space

If I hide a block is it possible for everything else (including other lower down blocks) to take up the empty space left by hiding it - or have I missed somethibg here?

That’s exactly what the layout block visibility function does. If you hide a block, all the content below it will move up the page to occupy the space. Likewise, making a layout block visible will move the content below it down the page to make space for the block content.

Yes, that’s what should happen. If your block is hidden, the blocks below it should move up and take the empty space. However, this only works with layout blocks. If you hide a simple box using the “visible on this device” option, it won’t have the same effect.

Yes it does work OK now that I’ve converted a relatively old site to use layout blocks fully!
