How do I set flags at the bottom of the page on a multilingual site like it is done on a Sitely site? Thanks.
You can use a Button, and have the flag images as a background image. You can then link the button to the appropriate page.
How do I find the flag image/symbol?
Just go for an online hunt…
Search for free country flags, png file format.
I think Sitely should have built in? How do I find them?
Well you can go…
Sitely / Edit / Emoji & Symbols or Sitely / Insert / Icon
As you have already been advised, flag icons can be sourced easily from many places online. However, you may wish to consider using simple text-based language links within your main navigation instead.
Text language selectors are generally more accessible for users who rely on screen readers or other assistive technologies, as they can be read and understood unambiguously, whereas flag icons often require additional labelling. They also avoid potential confusion, as flags represent countries rather than languages, which is not always a one-to-one relationship.
Placing the language selector as a text link within the top navigation ensures it appears early in the page structure, making it easier to discover for all users and improving overall usability.
