I am creating a photography website using image grids. There will be several hundred images in total. Is there an advantage for me to create web resolution images and use those or is irrelevant. So far I am using mix and match (jpegs, tiffs) but the software seems a little sluggish in saving etc.
Hello
I recommend importing lossless quality images, such as PNG or WebP. Sitely will automatically optimize, resize, and convert them into the necessary formats before exporting your site. During this process, Sitely generates each image in two different formats (e.g., WebP and PNG/JPG). This ensures that if a browser doesn’t support the WebP format, the image will automatically be displayed in PNG or JPG format, guaranteeing maximum compatibility while reducing file sizes for faster loading times.
However, be careful not to import images that are too large or have an excessively high resolution, as this could impact the software’s performance and unnecessarily increase the size of your Sitely project. Avoid using TIFF images in particular, as they tend to be very large.
Additionally, in the site settings under the “Images” section, you can manage the quality and resolution of your images. (You can find more details here: https://sitely.app/docs/setup.html) These settings also include an option to enable export in the AVIF format. While AVIF is more optimized and offers significant file size reductions, it can considerably slow down the publishing process and isn’t yet as widely supported as WebP. Personally, I’ve chosen to continue using WebP for now.
When I click on your link I’m getting a 404 error message: " Not Found

Sorry, a period had slipped into the end of the URL. It’s fixed now.
