Image grid: how to add a txt field to many photos?

Dear fellow sparkle sitely users,

I’d need some help, please. I have an image grid of many photos (wife’s stilt performance snapshots). I want to place the filename on all these pics. I can put a text box with a smartfield on one picture, but do I have to repeat it numerous times (for all photos) or is there a better way?

I struggle to find it.

  1. Turn on gallery label and format it the way you want.
  2. Click on Insert → Smart Field → File Name
  3. Go back to the gallery image. Next to “Show Label” there is a button to set the label settings. Toggle all settings to “Like Selected”.
  4. Apply the formatting to all images (at bottom) so you won’t format all the labels.

thank you for the procedure for the “image gallery”.

However, I am using the “image grid”. I cannot find something alike.

I see. For grid, you have to duplicate a smart field (file name) text box and drag into each grid.

ok. thx. so it is not possible to show labels on a carousel f.i. easily.
