I’ve installed an Image Grid as a slider in two places on a front page. It has been working normally. After the last site update and upload (FTP Filezilla), both sliders are sticking in some browsers.
Each will load, then slide 1 image correctly, pause the correct time, then snap to the next image (not slide) and stick there. It just stays there, no further sliding happens.
There have been no setting changes to the sliders since they were working. I did remove several images from one slider a few days ago, but it was working correctly after that change. I’ve re-exported and uploaded twice, no change.
The problem happens in Mac Chrome, Mac Firefox, iOS iPhone Chrome, Android Chrome, Android DuckDuckGo - that I have checked so far.
On iOS iPad Pro Chrome the sliders stick after the first slide, and don’t snap to the third image.
Sliders work fine in iOS iPhone DuckDuckGo, iPad Pro DuckDuckGo, iPad Pro Safari, Mac Safari.
A cache issue probably would break less consistently, I mean not at exactly the same image every time. There’s only one browser/device that breaks slightly differently, but always at the same point. And then some that work fine of course.
I had a quick look @culturalproduct, and there are some sort of error that I get when viewing it…
In Edge (first screenshot) and Opera (second screenshot). In Safari there was no error and the lateral motion of the images continue without stopping.
I think it would be best to bring it up with @duncan (feedback@sitely.app), because you might have added something that is conflicting with the image lateral scroll, or the other browsers don’t like what Safari likes?
I was using Safari on a Mac, which is usually the diva when it comes to browser compatibility. Everything looked normal on my end, though.
FlaminFig is probably onto something. Since Safari works but some other browsers seem to fail consistently at the same point, there may be some browser-specific conflict going on.
Hi! I’ve had some issues with the Image Grids on my site as well. They haven’t been behaving as expected in the last few days. Anyone else having trouble? Here’s a screenshot. Just FYI, the Sitely app is up-to-date. The problem is occurring across all browsers. Nothing else in my website is affected. Just the image grids not showing images. BTW, the problem doesn’t occur in preview mode. Thanks for any insight.
Please send your project file via swisstransfer.com and we’ll take a look. Also, 6.2.2 is a beta (pre-release) version, so for issues there we try not to confuse things too much on this community, best discussed via email.
Just an update - I (accidentally actually) did some editing in 6.2 and the exported file broke the carousel in exactly the same places again.
Re-exported from 6.1 and back to working perfectly again.
6.1 has been exporting the carousel with no issues at all consistently for about 20 updates to the site now. Whatever is breaking is only happpening in 6.2.x
The consistency doesn’t suggest cache to me, if that’s any help.
