Move with page bottom

Made a site to replace a ‘dead’ page; https://hudsonsweden.se

Workplace; https://terraplane.site

Almost finished, one major question;

I have a large PC and small Mobil version and in-between Automatically Scaled. In the in-between I would like the left gray meny-area to extend infinitely to the bottom.

It does not. I start fine with a full page (narrowing it in an ordinary PC browser), then in most pages, but not all, ‘move with page bottom’ seems to be lost. It looks rather ugly… hanging.

Another absolutely minor thing that makes me curious about why; first page shadow of text in the left gray area is lame, all other pages is distinctive. I’ve checka all over and I can not find any cause..

I’m not seeing the text shadow issue you’ve mentioned?

As for the left hand grey column… Sitely is a fixed width website builder, hence the Devices. When you drag your browser lots of things will happen between Devices until you reach a Device.

There could be a bug with your grey column via the automatically scale, so it might be best to present your project to @duncan for a check over… feedback@sitely.app

Thanks, I will do that.

Regarding the shadow I now found out that it is a double layer of text on some pages, thereof the darker one.
Source is an earlier messy layer setup (show on all pages mix). Complicated to sort out in layers view (maybe a bug?), I failed so far.

Ed: Some more tries…

Page 1 menu group OK, but most pages after that all text in group was duplicated. Not possible to delete any without loosing all occurrences.

Solution: Moving all text out of the group, creating a new group. The duplicated text now gone.

You might need to spend a bit of time in your Layers Panel
Look for and click through all your “Text” layers and I’m sure you will come across it.

Oh, I just saw you have fixed it… Well done! :+1:

Response from feedback:

There isn’t really a way to make something infinitely long in Sitely. Nearest approximation is to use a background pattern. The pattern will extend both horizontally and vertically, so you need to make it really wide so that it won’t repeat horizontally, and on the left side place the gray segment. It doesn’t need to be a super tall image bacause it will be repeated vertically anyway. However you don’t have much control over where the gray strip will be positioned.
