Hi,
I’m trying to use a payment button method that doesn’t require me to use PayPal or the other embedded options on Sitely.
I’ve created a button to link to the code given to me by the bank- what are the nest steps, I’ve looked on the community resources and can’t figure it out.
I’ll be given a Javascript from the bank, but can’t see where to put this in the menu, besides upgrading my product (again).
How do I do this, please help?
Hi @jfa
A JavaScript code can either be inserted into an “embed” element in Sitely, or, depending on the script, directly integrated into a button using the developer tools (which require a separate purchase). Without more details, it’s difficult to provide more specific guidance.
Thanks for the input.
From reading the Developer tools page, I think that an ordinary button needs the tool purchase, and then the code applied. I’ll have to figure this out once I get the code from the bank.
At €120 it isn’t cheap, as it will be only one button with once instruction, but better than PayPal which takes a big cut and IMHO doesn’t look as professional as one’s own direct link.
You might be assuming a bit too much here, and it sounds unlikely to me. But let’s look at the bank code first.
Hi Duncan,
It will be a TVP button, according to the bank, which one I will find out tomorrow.
From what I can gather, you are correct, and I’ve maybe assumed too much- ie: that it will be a HTML code for the button that is activated by the bank to link to their transaction management page.
Thanks for the replies.
Thanks for all the input, in the end, I decided to go with Stripe as the volume of sales will be low and the coding from the bank was too complicated.
