Hi, how can I manage quantity on products I sell on my site with PayPal? For example if my client has 2 items of a type for sale and sells them I would like it to out of stock and not allow further purchases.
Any help on this appreciated

that’s currently not possible with the built-in paypal element. If you don’t want to deal with code then a more sophisticated commerce integration such as snipcart or ecwid would allow stock handling. The cost there is a higher fee and possibly a subscription as well.
You can generate the code for the button with paypal’s tools, and copy/paste that in an embed element, should work fine.

Yes, you can actually manage this from the PayPal side rather than needing Sitely to keep track of the stock.
When creating the PayPal payment/button for the product, PayPal has inventory management options. You can set the available quantity — for example, 2 — and PayPal will reduce the inventory as purchases are completed. Once the inventory reaches zero, it can prevent further purchases of that item.
So essentially:
Sitely → PayPal button → PayPal handles the available stock
You can also assign an item ID/SKU and configure low-stock notifications.
The only thing to bear in mind is that Sitely itself won’t automatically change the product page to display “Out of stock” when PayPal reaches zero, but PayPal can handle the important part of preventing another purchase.
For a small number of products, this is probably worth trying before introducing a separate shop/e-commerce system.
