Problem with hamburger menu

Hello,

I have a problem with Hamburger menu and simple menu.
When I use it, and I publish it on the hard disk, and when I click on “index” on the hard disk, Hamburger appairs not on the right place.
When I use a simple static menu, and when I want to use the vertical way, when I click on “index” on the hard disk, the static menu stays horizontaly.

I took care using ASCII and “compatible deconnecté”.

Is it after the last update? At the beginning, the export was working, but not now.

On the other hand, the preview is working well.

Thank you for your answer

Since you are viewing your website on your local hard drive do you think it is possible the javascript isn’t working correctly? In my experience viewing a website from the local disk has never been 100% correct.

I would create a test folder on your server and interact with your website there instead of your local hard drive.

Thank you, I’ll try to do that.

I had similar issues in that trying to test-view the blog from a disk-export just shows a bunch of php code. I suspect that if I export to a test-folder on my server it would look fine.

Hello,

I tried to export the created site on a web server to test it as FlaminFig wrote me, but hamburger menu doesn’t work horizontaly or verticaly : the hamburger icon disappears and only the menu items appear horizontally and in the wrong size.

I tried to do an horizontal simple menu and it’s working well.

It does that even before the update of Sitely (I tested it by time machine).

What to do now?

I am on Sequoia 15.2, and Sitely 5.6.3

Thank you for your advices!

Philippe

Hi.

Have you ever considered a cheeseburger menu? Ok, just kidding.

Can you provide a link so we can see the behavior live. Next, let’s tackle the settings in the menu.

there are 2 items in the (double)cheese

Thank you

Hi.

Ok. Good that we were allowed to see that once.
The way I see it, this has nothing to do with a hamburger (or even cheeseburger) menu.
A hamburger menu usually has these three characteristic bars (can also vary) and when you click, the new menu sub-items drop down.

I recommend that you watch this video:
Sitely - all about menues

When you face new or more problems, feel free to ask here.
But remember this: the better you describe a problem, the better the answers and help will be.

Good Luck!
