Shifting footer with zoom image in lightbox

Hey all,
I hope someone can help with this issue I’m having with the image gallery. I set images in the gallery to zoom in lightbox. The images zoom correctly, but when I close the lightbox, the footer on shifts to the left leaving a blank area on the right. I’m not sure if I am describing this correctly, but if anyone can decipher what I am saying, and can provide some help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers!

Hi @bohemianrasta

Would you have a screenshot to show us? But it’s probably a bug, I recommend sending your project to @duncan.

You can send your project by email to feedback@sitely.app. If your project is too large to send by email, you can use swisstransfer.com to share it with the same address (feedback@sitely.app).

FWIW I have the same problem. My page has a centred footer. After I clicking on one of the images the footer then shifts to the left.

Hello, and welcome @Jens_T ! :wave:t2:

Please check for updates to ensure you have the latest version of Sitely. If the bug is still present in this latest version, I would also invite you to contact Duncan.

I sent the project to Duncan. He confirmed that it was a bug that has been fixed, but at the time, it wasn’t yet released. I checked my project last week, and the issue was still there. How do I go about checking for updates? I have looked for it, but haven’t found any way of doing that.

Hi @bohemianrasta

You can check for updates by clicking on “Sitely” in the macOS menu bar, then selecting “Check for updates…”.

Otherwise, Sitely automatically checks for updates each time you reopen the app.

That said, as far as I know, no new update has been released since your previous message. If it’s really urgent, you could reach out to Duncan and ask if he can send you a fixed version. Just keep in mind that it would likely be a beta version, which might include other bugs.

Thanks @Allan
It’s not that urgent. I’ll wait for the final release. I can always update later.
Oddly enough, I don’t have that option in my copy of Sitely. Would the fact that I acquired my copy of Sitely from the Apple AppStore have something to do with that?

Ah, yes, if you downloaded Sitely from the App Store, you’ll need to check for updates directly from the Mac App Store. I’m not sure if Sitely checks for updates automatically on launch in that version. I would assume it does, but I can’t say for sure :man_shrugging:t2:
