Hi, from what I’ve seen of Sitely so far, I like it. One thing that’s making me hover over taking the plunge, is that I’d like to see some examples of what it Blogs like, as my intended site will be a blog.
I’ve taken a look back through posts in the Made with Sitely section. While I’ve seen some lovely sites, I’ve only seen one with a blog. That blog was slightly clunky as it was just one long page with a sequence of entries.
Ideally, If I could have the blog index page where all preview entries are arranged in a grid, that’s more or less the clincher if Sitely will allow me to do that.
On my wordpress site, there’s generally been an option for visitors subscribe and be updated when a new post has been added. Is this something I can do with Sitely?
If anyone would be willing to share their blog, put me straight on other questions, I’d be grateful.

Would you mind pointing me in the right direction for how you managed to arrange your Index into three columns? I can only seem to generate a vertical stack of posts (possibly because I’ve only built 4 dummy posts so far)
That aside, I can now purchase with relative confidence.
I was pointing out the versatility of Sitely, but what I built was pre-blog days at the time. I’m recreating my website and using the latest blog system with it, and I have come up with something like this…
For now the latest Sitely Blog still stacks the blog posts in a vertical format, but as you can see it still can look AOK. But I agree it could do with a few more layout options.
Another thing to note is that the developers; Duncan and Daniele, are very keen to hear our feedback to continue to improve Sitely, so if you were to put your case across I’m sure they will take a good hard look over it.
Thank you. So, the part I’m most interested in with your graphic, is how you got the three column ‘must reads’ section. Is that something you can do from the inspector of the Blog Index?
I moved the Blog Index section down the page. This allowed me room above it to introduced the “Must Reads” section which is a Layout Block containing the images, text and buttons.
For me it feels a decent flow, helping a User to engage with what I feel is important before they start their journey down the page.
Another great feature would be a Blog Post Widget (as opposed to tuning the home page into the Blog Index) for the home page, where I can select (say 3) blog posts I’d like to display.
And for a variety of Blog Index page layouts that I would love to be able to create (I’m keeping my fingers-crossed!!!)

I’ve purchased Sitely now, so will look forward to experimenting with the Blog side, as this is largely going to be the entire purpose of the site. Not sure if anyone testing V7 can confirm whether the next update contains some expanded blogging tools for Index, but like you say ‘Fingers crossed’
