The client wanted a very simple, straightforward website. A drinks menu might be added later.
Since there’s nobody to regularly maintain the website, I embedded their Instagram feed in a section called “News”, showing just a few posts.
The client isn’t particularly active on Instagram either, but it’s an easy way to share upcoming events and updates. And the nice thing is that visitors can see the posts directly on the website without needing an Instagram account – perfect for people who don’t use Instagram or, like me, aren’t particularly fond of it.
I can’t seem to find any issues with Instagram, either on desktop or mobile, even in private browsing mode. Could you tell me exactly what you’re seeing?
I actually waited a whole year to get those few photos! Unfortunately, most of them were either too small or too blurry, and even AI couldn’t save them.
The text was originally only half as long, but then I received the longer version. I don’t actually think it’s too long, although I did manage to shorten it a little.
The nicest photos are from a party, but I didn’t want to use too many of those, as they make the place look more like a wine and champagne bar. It’s actually a beer and live music pub!
Glad you like what the text says and that it makes you want to visit!
Here’s an idea to try. Intersperse a photo or two from your slides between the text to break it up a bit. See how that looks. They are nice and small, so they might work well and let the overall feel breathe.
People are so impatient these days! They may see a long block of text and think “Oh I don’t want to take time to read all of this!” (I know that’s how I feel seeing a long post on Facebook; I often skip it.)
So think of it as a bowl of dry cereal, and add some strawberries on top… mmmm! More attractive!
