Text Format Carryover

OK this should be pretty straightforward. I create a document anywhere, Google Docs, ChatGPT, Microsoft Word… The document has title case, H1, H2, bold, etc. No matter how I try, including the menu item Paste and Match Style, it always renders as plain text in a text box. Headings gone formatting, whatever- is turned into plain text.
Is there any way to make this work?
Don’t like setting it all up twice and if I’m in a hurry, I’m stuck using an HTML (embed) box. Those have their own set of nice-to-avoid issues.

Ideas that work?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

When opening a new Sitely project file it comes with preinstalled Font Styles. So you would need to define your Font Styles from H1 down to say H5 by adding them, and any others you need. Or redefine the existing Font Styles to your needs.

When you bring across say a H1 text from outside Sitely and paste it onto the canvas, you then have to select the H1 Font Style you created for your project and assign it to the text box. Otherwise it will default to a paragraph font.

This is not an unusual practice as a web design development platform defines its own Font Styles through the user creating the site, rather than it being defined from random pasting of all sorts of styled text.

Hey @davekeys, please send us some formatted text in a textedit file (.rtf) over email (feedback@sitely.app) and we’ll look at the issues.
