Is it possible to make life easier, at least for some of the process of placing photos in the Sitely generator?
When I put a photo in Sitely, only the file name is transferred, but the description of the photo and tags - unfortunately not.
In addition, when I put a photo with the extension .heic, the *.jpg file is still created in the directory. Why and for what?
Why can’t they no longer be copyrighted when placing photos using a photo gallery? Is it a mistake on my side or the program?
Photo metadata will usually remain as part of the placed image, I don’t think Sitely strips this data from the image file. If you want to display that metadata in some way, you can use Sitely’s smart field to extract the data and display it in your web page.
Actually Sitely does strip metadata for privacy reasons. You can use the image protection feature to re-add copyright to the output image(s).
heic is converted to jpeg (and webp etc) because heic really only works on apple platforms, and you want the website to be visible everywhere.
Copyright protection doesn’t always work, even if it’s enabled. I think you know that very well.
As for the description of the photo contained in the file, it is not visible when inserted. So I move the title of the file, it could also move the description and tags.
