Undo History Window – A Small Feature with Big Impact πŸš€

Hey Sitelyans!

I suggested this a while back, and I still think it could be a real upgrade to our workflow β€” an Undo History Window in Sitely.

It’s a simple feature: a panel where you can see all your recent edits and jump back to any point instantly. No more endless undo clicks or trying to guess where things went off. You stay in control, confident, and creative.

Why it matters:

  • :sparkles: Encourages experimentation without fear
  • :repeat: Speeds up your design flow
  • :woman_student: Helps new users learn and grow
  • :toolbox: Common in pro design tools β€” Sitely deserves that polish too

Someone once mentioned, β€œI saw this in other apps, but never used it.” That’s cool β€” but for those of us who do use it, it’s a must-have. Not every tool is for everyone, but features like this empower more people to create with confidence.

If you agree this should be part of Sitely, drop a  like, :bookmark: bookmark to follow, and feel free to :speech_balloon: comment with your thoughts or how you’d use it. The more voices we have, the stronger the signal we send to the team :muscle:

Let’s make this happen, together. Appreciate you all :raised_hands:

Is what you are talking about @lpbeats different to File / Revert To?

Great question, @FlaminFig!

Yes β€” it’s definitely different from File / Revert To. That option is more like rolling back to a saved version of the entire project, almost like loading a checkpoint.

What I’m suggesting is a real-time History Panel, where you can see a list of every recent action (like β€œmoved image,” β€œchanged font,” etc.) and jump back to any point in that list β€” without having to reload or lose unsaved progress.

It’s more about micro-control during the design session, versus reverting to a past save. Think of it like Photoshop or Figma’s history panel β€” super helpful for experimenting, learning, and staying in control while you create.

Appreciate you asking! :raised_hands:
